Jeremias Scores In Second Consecutive Game, But Kahoks Fall At Granite City 2-1

GRANITE CITY - Collinsville striker Megan Jeremias scored for the second time in as many games on Tuesday evening, but the Kahoks' girls soccer team lost for the second straight time, this time falling to Granite City 2-1 at Gene Baker Field.

Jeremias scored her second goal of the season unassisted in the first half, but the Warriors countered with goals from Emmi Hogan and Savanhna Khammanyvong to take the three points in Granite's season opener. Gwyneth Hale and Madison Vasiloff assisted on the goals.

Sydney Sommer, starting in her second straight match with both regular goalies out with injury, made five saves for the Kahoks, while Alivia Upshaw had four stops in the Granite nets.

The Warriors start their season off 1-0-0, while the Kahoks drop to 0-2-0. Collinsville next plays at home Thursday night against Chatham Glenwood in a 6 p.m. kickoff, then are off until March 22, when the Kahoks host ... Click here to read full article
