COLLINSVILLE - Morgan Rader recorded a brace, scoring two goals, as Collinsville won its first girls soccer match of the season 6-0 over Highland on a rainy and damp Tuesday evening at Kahok Stadium.

The win, the Kahoks' first in four tries this young season, was a reward for the team's hard work and overcoming early adversity during the first weeks of the new season.

Besides Rader's brace, the Kahoks got goals from Jordan Gary, Georgia Cox, Megan Jeremias and Sarah Henze. Gary, Henze, Jeremias, Kyra Van Dyke and Lindsay O'Connor all had assists, while Addy Johnson made two save in goal to have her first clean sheet of the season.

The Bulldogs are now 0-5-0, while the Kahoks gain their first three points of the season and are 1-3-0. Collinsville opens its Southwestern Conference season Thursday night at Belleville East in a 5 p.m. kickoff, then plays at Columbia Saturday afternoon in a 1:30 p.m. start.
